Frequently Asked Questions
Following is a list of frequently asked questions concerning the business coaching mentoring service and online business classes.
If you have a question that isn't answered here please email me about it so that I can clarify it for you.
1. How does it work?
Coaching sessions are offered via email, telephone (Skype) or live chat. The delivery method is entirely up to you. You may choose one method or all three. Coaching is offered in 1hour increments and may be used as needed.
For example, if you purchase 2 hours of coaching time you may choose to take it in 15 minute increments or in two 1hour blocks, or any combination that suits you. Once you have purchased the hours it is entirely your choice as to how it is used.
2. How to proceed
Read through this list to decide if business coaching or mentoring is for you. If so then please complete the coaching questionnaire.
This will help me to get an overview of your business and what you hope to achieve from the session/s, as well as any difficulties that you may be having. That way I can make sure that our sessions are personalised to your needs. I don't believe in a 'one size fits all' approach.
Once you have completed the questionnaire I will review it and be in contact with you within 24hours. I will then present you with some options based on your particular needs.
If you decide to go ahead with the coaching then I will email you payment details. You can then make your payment via paypal or I can provide you with an invoice and you can make a direct deposit to my account. The choice is yours.
Once payment is received we will then schedule a convenient session time and decide on the method of communication. This can be via email, phone (Skype), live chat or a combination of these methods.
3. What type of information do I need to include in the questionnaire?
Some of the questions cover things like your age, your time zone and country, your business idea and any related experience that you may have.
The questionnaire is fairly extensive as I want to gain as much information about you and your business idea as possible. The more information that I have the more you will gain from the whole experience. If you decide to proceed then I will email you some further questions at that time.
4. Do you offer refunds?
After receiving your questionnaire I will be able to determine immediately whether or not I am able to help you. If I don't feel that you will benefit from the one-on-one service then I may recommend or suggest an alternative option for you.
If you have any concerns about your suitability for the sessions then please feel free to email me so that we can work out an appropriate solution for you.
If after paying for a session you are not satisfied with the level of coaching offered then I will issue an immediate refund. This is unlikely to happen if you fall into any of the categories outlined in the overview and if you have completed the questionnaire honestly and accurately.
5. Is there a limit to how much coaching I can have?
You can purchase coaching sessions for as many hours as you wish. The minimum being one hour. If you would like to benefit from an ongoing coaching/mentoring arrangement then please mention this when completing your questionnaire so that we can discuss the most suitable and cost effective solution for you. I do offer a reduced rate for multiple sessions.
6. What these sessions are not?
I will help you with all aspects of the start up phase and will provide you with information on how to start, manage and grow your business.
During your one-on-one session I will provide sound business advice and offer guidance and suggestions based on over twenty years of business management experience and small business training.
I will encourage and guide you by offering suggestions for problem solving and business planning, but I don't instruct. It is your business and how you choose to do things is entirely up to you. All decisions are yours. In a sense I will be your training wheels but you will be the driver.
7. Do I need a certain level of experience to benefit from these sessions?
One of the biggest hesitations for using a coaching service is that you don't have enough experience or that your idea, or your business, is not big enough. Many startup business owners feel that hiring outside help is something that only larger companies can benefit from.
Don't feel intimidated by asking for help. You are the precise reason that this service came about. Small and micro business owners, this service was designed with you in mind and you are the ones who will benefit the most.
8. What does it cost?
Coaching is charged at $120/hr.
I do offer a FREE 15 minute, no obligation, coaching session. So if you would like to try before you buy please complete the coaching questionnaire.
Tell me your most pressing problems and I will provide you with some structure and focus so that you can take that next step forward.
Where to now?
Take me to the coaching questionnaire.
